Case Number 2001-074122
On Sunday, June 17, 2001, at approximately 12:35 AM, Officers responded to the report of an accident in the 4800 block of 22nd Avenue. Mr. Diorio was found lying in the roadway and had been struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Witness reports indicated that he had an altercation with some subjects nearby and may have been pushed into the road. The driver of the the vehicle remained on scene; however, the subjects that were involved in the altercation with Mr. Diorio had fled.
