Colorful kites fill the sky during the 17th annual kite festival. A grand launch of more than 300 kites officially kicks off the event at 12 noon. See flying demonstrations of gigantic show kites (100+ feet) and stunt kite demonstrations by professional fliers from the around the Midwest.
Kids can participate in kite-making and kite-decorating workshops, and there will be kite flying lessons and kite flying contests throughout the day for all ages. Bring your own kite or buy one at the event. Free kites to the first 100 kids to register for the Kids Mad Dash at the First American Bank tent. Admission is FREE

EVENT CATEGORY: Public EventsThe Keyed Up Kenosha public art project is presented by the City of Kenosha, Downtown Kenosha, Inc. and the Kenosha News. Pianists will be performing throughout downtown from 4-6 p.m. June 9 as 12 artistically decorated pianos make their debut. An additional piano is on display at the Visitor's Information Center at I-94 and Hwy. 165.
The public is welcome to view the pianos throughout the summer, and can "tickle the ivories" if they wish at the following locations:

Bark for Life is an event for "Pawticipants" and their owners to come together to raise community support, awareness, and to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The event honors the caregiving qualities of canine companions, celebrates survivors, and remembers our loved ones lost to cancer. It's an afternoon of fun activities open to the public with no admission.
