Hours
The Kenosha Public Museum and Civil War Museum are open on Mondays Noon-5pm for the spring and summer months (March 1 through August 31).
The Kenosha Public Museum, Civil War Museum, and Dinosaur Discovery Museum are closed on Mondays during the fall and winter months (September 1 through February 28).

Closed Holidays
The Museums are closed:
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
The Museums may be open for special activities on some holidays.
Fees:
Admission to the Kenosha Public Museum is free. Group tours are available by appointment, and fees may apply.
Accessibility:
The Museum is handicap accessible and visitors are welcome to bring their own wheelchair, walker, or other device. Service animals are welcome. The Museum has one wheelchair that may be checked out for use during your visit. Stop at the front desk for more information.

Directions and Parking
There is considerable construction on I-94 with ever-changing closures on a regular basis. For I-94 road construction updates in Kenosha County, visit: www.plan94.org. For directions to the Museum, see below or visit Google maps.
From the North:
Take I-94 to STH 158. Travel east on STH 158 to 6th Avenue approximately seven miles. Turn right on 6th Avenue and travel to 56th Street. Turn left on 56th Street and travel to First Avenue.
From the South:
Take I-94 to STH 158. Travel east on STH 158 to 6th Avenue approximately seven miles. Turn right on 6th Avenue and travel to 56th Street. Turn left on 56th Street and travel to First Avenue.
From the West:
Travel east on STH 158 to 6th Avenue approximately seven miles. Turn right on 6th Avenue and travel to 56th Street. Turn left on 56th Street and travel to First Avenue.
Parking for 230 vehicles is available on 1st Avenue, directly east of the museums. Free on-street parking is also available in the immediate area.
